Over a decade ago. A cold November day.
In uncomfortable seats at a cybersecurity seminar at a convention center lodged in a Midwestern town.
The seminar was intense, packed with frightening details on the latest cyber threats, high-profile breaches, and advanced AI techniques. The speakers presented with a mix of technical jargon and dire warnings.
The world they painted was a frigheting picture. This future world we knew was coming- a world where the digital and physical realms were increasingly intertwined. And vulnerable.
The problem was obvious, at least to us.
We brought clients with us and the executives’ eyes had glazed over. It didn’t resonate.
We knew cybercrime was bad, but this was like something out of a movie. Problem was that it was conveyed in technical jargon, too technical with too much FUD.
The Torch was lit. We were duty-bound to find a way to make this relatable for non-technical business leaders.
To translate technical details into something they care about and take action on.
Cyber Crime Junkies was born.
